Good point, Daniel.

There are pros and cons to hiring employees and outsourcing to contractors and its important to know which is best for your requirements.

Outsourcing, as opposed to employing, is also a good idea if you don't have enough work to warrant a full-time, or even part-time, employee.

Hi Donna-Marie,
I know this post is a few years old, I just found it through google. I liked your points, but thought that one more should be added: Make sure you really do need to hire somebody. Hiring staff when it's possible to outsource these things is usually a bad idea, given the added responsibilities by way of payroll taxes, compensation and so forth.
Thanks for the post
Daniel
